The Beach

The beach of Barbarossa is situated inside a streight gulf, well protected and is the best beach for those who stay in Porto Azzurro, because it is very near and easy to reach. As the beach is quite large (150 m), the beach is never overcrowded, even during high season.

The beach ground is made of small, medium sized round pebbles.

Services: bar, restaurant, windsurf, diving school, boat and umbrella rental, small pier to attack boats.

Over the rocks, or swimming, one can quickly reach the Caletta Barbarossa, a small beach with fine pebbles. The red, washed out landscape just behind the beach looks, from faraway like a red beared (barbarossa).
